As part of strengthening staff skills, training in Psychological First Aid (PFA) was provided to 43 people, with participation from Emergency Accommodation Facilities for Unaccompanied Minors (EAFUM) and Accommodation Centers for Unaccompanied Minors (ACUM). This training was based on the international guidelines of the World Health Organization on Psychological First Aid (PFA). It is a critical tool for any professional working with vulnerable populations, as it enhances the ability to respond through observation and active listening in critical situations without causing further harm. The training contributes to providing care with respect, dignity, and support, both for individuals experiencing intense psychological distress and for the professionals themselves, through self-care strategies.
